Bluekey Speaker Focus
OVERVIEW
The Bluekey Acoustics Focus was launched in April 2026 during the Hi End Workshop in São Paulo, Brazil.
The goal of this new transducer is to deliver the same level of performance as its sibling, the Model 1, now in a format that is more suitable for the majority of our audiophile customers’ listening rooms.
It was essential to extend the company’s philosophy to this new project, pursuing an engaging and enjoyable sound signature that has been widely recognized in the Model 1.
DESCRIPTION
The Focus features a powerful 10-inch woofer designed to provide excellent transient response from 30 Hz up to the crossover point, where a compression driver with a 1.7-inch diaphragm takes over, extending midrange and high frequencies up to 21 kHz.
Complementing this system, the Focus also incorporates a high-performance horn inspired by professional studio designs, delivering a balanced and smooth response across the entire mid and high-frequency spectrum.
Like all our products, this transducer features two crossovers mounted on separate boards and positioned on opposite panels inside the cabinet: one dedicated to the woofer and the other to the high-frequency driver, ensuring maximum signal separation within the enclosure.
The crossovers are hand-assembled and point-to-point wired using Mundorf Silver Gold solder. All electronic components are sourced from North America and Europe, aiming to achieve the highest possible level of quality.
The Focus cabinets are constructed from 18 mm MDF panels with 45-degree bonded joints, providing maximum sealing and rigidity. The front baffle is 36 mm thick to support the substantial weight of the woofer and to control driver and loudspeaker vibrations.
All cabinets are finished with natural wood veneer selected by the customer, with the standard finish being imported Canadian walnut, in homage to the country where the company was founded.
Taking all these aspects into consideration, Bluekey Acoustics has successfully maintained its pedigree in this new project, once again achieving outstanding results in the highly demanding audiophile market.
